Marketing Creative Lead
Own Hobbii’s global performance creative strategy, turning data into winning campaigns, scalable content systems, and bold ideas that inspire millions of makers worldwide.
This is your chance to own the cross-channel creative strategy and production system behind Hobbii’s global marketing, driving high-converting campaigns across paid social, organic content, and CRM.
You will be the core performance creative expert in a team that values pragmatism, data, and testing new ideas over rigid corporate guidelines. We reach over 5 million passionate makers across 13 countries every single week, which means your concepts, hooks, and modular frameworks directly shape how our brand connects with millions of crafters worldwide.
If you are a D2C Creative Strategist, Content Lead, or Performance Creative who genuinely gets a kick out of modular content systems, high hook rates, and turning ad performance data into winning video briefs — this role was built for you.
Why this role is different
A performance role, not a craft role: You own what we say, while our Performance Marketing Specialist owns how it is bought and tested. Success is measured in win rates, hold rates, and acquisition costs - evaluated objectively by data.
Modular scale ("Lego block" approach): You think in building blocks, not just finished films. Hooks, demos, testimonials, and end cards are bricks you recombine into scalable assets across 11 markets and every buying platform.
Full creative authority: You act as the final brand and creative gate before assets go live. You hold the mandate to set production routes, declare winning angles, and retire fatigued formats based on real metrics.
What you will actually spend your time doing
Cross-channel creative strategy: Designing angles, hooks, and formats for paid social, organic, and CRM, maintaining a compound learnings log of what wins, what fails, and why.
Writing precise briefs: Translating performance data into actionable shoot, creator, and edit briefs across three production routes: in-house capture, creator production, and external video editors.
Managing talent & partners: Directly leading our Creative Producer while directing external editing partners and collaborating with the Influencer Marketing Manager on UGC setups.
Closing the feedback loop: Co-running recurring performance reviews with the Performance Marketing Specialist to translate channel data into the next round of testing briefs.
Brand guardianship: Maintaining Hobbii's tone of voice, visual identity, shoot specs, and template sets across all internal and external output.
Who we imagine you are You are data-driven, operationally sharp, and passionate about performance-led storytelling. We would love for you to tick these boxes:
3+ years of experience in performance creative, creative strategy, or content direction—ideally in D2C e-commerce with paid social as a core growth driver.
A proven track record of high-performing creative backed by clear business metrics (a portfolio of "nice work" isn't enough; we focus on conversion and CAC impact).
Hands-on expertise briefing short-form vertical video for Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest, including UGC, creator formats, and modular editing frameworks.
Leadership experience managing or mentoring direct reports (like a Creative Producer) and directing external agencies, editors, or freelancers.
Data fluency — comfortable reading ad-platform metrics independently and speaking the language of media buyers as an equal.
Fluent in English (our company language) and holding a valid permit to work onsite in Denmark (a Nordic language is a plus for market nuance).
The culture and team vibe We build our workspace around psychological safety, openness, and mutual respect. We are ambitious about testing and scaling growth, but we keep things completely pragmatic. We move fast, look at the data, and value learning over perfection.
You will be based at our vibrant HQ in Copenhagen NV with a killer lunch from Meyers, barista-quality coffee, 6 weeks of holiday, and private health insurance.
